Are You Ready? Bay Area Earthquake Hits California at 'Time Bomb' Zone

Are you ready? An earthquake struck the Bay Area early Thursday morning at M 4.4 - 2km SE of Berkeley, CA 2018-01-04 10:39:37 UTC 37.855°N   122.257°W 12.3 km depth  along a fault line that U.S. Geological Survey scientists have called a “tectonic time bomb.” The earthquake hit near Berkeley, California, as a magnitude 4.4. The damage is expected to be minimal, but it occurred along the Hayward fault—one of the seven fault zones in the Bay Area, according to the USGS.
